This article discusses the mechanisms of inflation control from the perspective of M. Umer Chapra, an Islamic economist. By examining Chapra's ideas, this research aims to explore the strategies proposed to address inflation and their relevance to the economic situation in Indonesia. The research method used is qualitative with a literature review approach. The findings indicate that Chapra emphasizes the importance of maintaining a balance between demand and supply, moral improvement, income redistribution, and the elimination of usury as measures to curb inflation. Chapra's thoughts are relevant to efforts to control inflation in Indonesia, especially in the context of developing Islamic banking systems and sustainable monetary policies.
